I’ve mentioned before that I’m involved with the Washington Lawyers for the Arts, an organization of attorneys that provides low cost legal services to the art community. We hold a series of workshops each month on interesting topics for artists and attorneys dealing with various copyright, tax, business, and art law issues.
This month we have two, and the first one is tomorrow, Wednesday the 13th. There will be an employment law attorney, a tax/business law attorney, and an intellectual property law attorney sitting on a stage…addressing questions about legal problems. It almost sounds like the setup for a joke, but it should be highly entertaining, and I’m planning on being there. It costs $25 for artists and students, and $50 for attorneys, but there will also be networking and light appetizers after the discussion. More information can be found using the link above, hope to see some of you there!
